In which the prized Gryffindor beauty is given up to Slytherin's venomous prince.
❝Don't you know, darling? Scorpions are venomous. You're much more like me than you think; after all, every Rose has its thorns.❞
Scorpius Malfoy has a secret about fifth year. To protect it and to prevent any more damage, he pushes Rose out of The Silver Trio. When seventh year rolls around, he realizes that this is his last chance to make things right. So he places a bet for Rose to live with him should Slytherin win the quidditch match against Gryffindor.
Rose Granger-Weasley is absolutely appalled. She's a tough biscuit but living with Scorpius, who erased her existence from memory once sixth year started, isn't exactly her first choice in flatmates. To uphold Gryffindor's honor, however, she chooses to stay with him. Even if it means entering the den of many sins: pride, lust, greed... and now murder.
After receiving a letter from his father informing him that he must stay at Hogwarts for the Christmas Holidays, Scorpius finds that he has only Rose Weasley for company. When it is discovered that his reason for having to stay is that there have been attacks on the wizarding world by dark wizards, Scorpius must find a way to survive this terrible outbreak of crime. Scorose.
This story has some strong language and dark themes and sexual references. It was written before the publication of Cursed Child.
