Werewolves, witches, and other supernatural creatures are real, though you'd probably never know it. Most live in houses, go to school or their jobs, and shop in the same stores as you do. But since Rachel was seven years old, she's lived in the forests of Alaska with a wolf pack. When she turns eighteen, she ventures into civilization to find out why her mother disappeared so many years ago.
Veronica knows nothing about werewolves, though she loves photographs and drawings of wolves. Normal, right? Well, that is until a pure black wolf begins to appear in her dreams every night. They can speak into each other's minds, and soon they feel a strange and uncanny connection to each other. Then the wolf shows up in reality and changes into none other than Rachel. The two can't seem to figure out why they feel such a strong bond, but they know that there are hidden answers in their pasts that they must discover together.
At fourteen years of age and in the middle of her freshman year of high school, Juniper is about as normal as your average Joe. She gets C's and B's in school, isn't necessarily athletic, but can run if she needs to, and never really knew her father as he left when she was young.
But that all changes when Scarlet Widowking is murdered.
Now Juniper is looking for who- or what- killed her, along side two people who just "showed up" the day after Scarlet was murdered. With an idea as to where her father went and an idea as to what she's dealing with, Juniper just might not be as normal as she thought.
