Seventeen year old Alexis Dawson is a shy simple girl, happy with her bland life and few friends. After her parents die in a horrific car crash, recovery doesn't come easy to her. So when Alexis starts having vivid nightmares and descends into a deep depression, Alexis and her older brother, Matt, suddenly move to New York in pursuit to leave behind bad memories and start fresh.  Alexis is trying to adjust to the sudden change, new school, new friends, and new memories. Alexis soon forms unexpected friendships and realizes that her whole life is changing, for better or for worse, she'll just have to wait and see.
