Annie Willow is in for experimentation. A punishment for wanting to leave the house, and finally see the outside world she's never experienced. She's never seen the flowers bloom, the clouds float through the sky, or the leaves bristle on the branches of a tree. Now she's been caught by the ruthless government who rules her home, who can dispose of her just as they would like. Annie is nothing but another guinea pig to their experiments. Read as events twist and turn, taking a whole different path. There's no time for love and caring, but somehow they manage to squeeze their way into lives of prisoners. What was just supposed to be a trial for breaking the law, will rise a whole army of people like her own, to fight against genetically enhanced people that can lift trucks with their pinkies. The Superspecies Two: A Haunting Sci-Fi Horror Mystery by GordonByron

A young girl is brutally abducted by a bloodthirsty grizzly, forcing a group of scientists to mop up a genetic engineering operation that is out of control, threatening any and all who enter the woods. One question remains: are the animals really dangerous for no reason at all or does their enhanced intelligence simply make them recognize something damning about human nature that needs to be understood before it's too late? Harmonious coexistence with an emerging highly-intelligent species competing for dominance over the earth or total destruction of humans and animals alike? Those are the two options now. Two groups of scientific researchers are sent to a forest where bear attacks are frequent in order to study what is happening only to find themselves attacked and outsmarted (in part) by the animals themselves. Two environmental action groups also find themselves at odds over the fate of the dangerously genetically-enhanced creatures. One group wants to see the beasts wiped out completely and the other wants to preserve them at all costs, even at the expense of human life. The two sides are locked in an impasse, unable to resolve their differences in an amiable way which leads to ever-increasing tension, animosity, kidnapping and murder. Entire forests are quarantined in an attempt to control and contain the beasts but soon holes are discovered in the operation as key players start disappearing in addition to animals eluding their hunters, fighting back and changing the field of battle to their own terms. Ambushing their pursuers on more than one occasion. As the "pro-beast" and "pro-human" sides chase to their own interests with the unfortunate bears caught in the middle (struggling to establish themselves in a human dominated world), the animals learn more and more to rely on their expanding awareness to survive and thrive in an entirely new world...to evolution shattering effect!

Laboured breathing, the touch of fingertips on my bare shoulder, breath on my lips. A heavy, deep inhale. Slow exhale. Evita isn't ready to leave.
