Though terrified at first Rosalind grows fonder of the abominable lord and the cold surrounding his land. The closer she gets to the secrets he keeps, especially of the mysterious stranger in the violin room, the more he awakens a darkness in her she wants to explore. 

When Rosalind's true calling is discovered, that she is the one prophesied to kill the lord, her desire for him threatens to destroy the person she once was, and all of Transylvania.
