For an LA project, I had to write a 3-4 Page Memoir of my Life. I decided to write about when my cat died. WARNING This is violent and heart-wrenching.  This is a touchy topic and I know it was a very depressing time in my life. I did have the cat for 15 years and grew up with him. To lose him was like losing a parent or sibling. There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here.
