She Wore Red

I wrote this piece for my friend Cindy who at the age of 4 contracted Polio and is paralyzed from her waist down. She married and had two children but soon thereafter was divorced and left to raise her two children on her own. She worked two jobs and bought a house, car and put her children through college. Her daughter just earned her doctorate degree in Pharmacy and her son is in the military. She is one of the most amazing people I know and I'm blessed to know her.
