I had so many friends. All girls. And I was never anything like them. They were silent and shy and dainty and fragile. But I was loud and obnoxious, always doing stunts and creating a ruckus."

"Hey," he cupped her face and saw her flinch, then, withdrew his hand, "You weren't born to be quite and dainty and fragile. You were born born to make the world shatter and shake at your fingertips. Okay?"

"Is that really a good thing. Being born to destruct?"

"Yes. It shows you're strong. So strong, you don't see it. So strong, you bear that responsibility. So strong, Fascinthia, that you don't have to test yourself to make sure."

-------------------

In Eleptia, the Society is aware of everything taking place. It knows what we are destined to be and who our soulmate is. That's what keeps us reigned in, our loved ones. We love and get weaker and just watch the society get stronger and stronger, with nothing we can do about it.

Every year, a child of magical origin is named the clover at the Ceremony of Adulthood. The clover along with their soulmate is trapped and forced to fight unto death.

The soulmate always gets stronger powers. They are normal but the pills of power make them stronger than ever. It's as if the Society wants the clover dead. Desperately.

But that's only because it does.

Have you ever had one of those terrible yet annoyingly pivotal moments? You know, that monumental fragment of time that flips everything you have ever known. That plot twist second that completely takes you by surprise. The one just before the storm hits and everything goes to hell. Yes? Because you see, that moment happens to be my whole damn life. It wasn't always like this though. I used to have a pretty mundane existence, happy to just get good grades and be around my friends. God I wish I could get that simplicity back, I'd never complain it was boring again. But I know I'm not going to ever get back my old life because well... I died. (Kinda) But I woke up. And I was thrilled, beyond grateful I wasn't dead. But then I realized that there was one minor detail that had changed about my reality. I was given the chance to live but it turns out I woke up as the villainess in an otome game my friend used to be obsessed with - Kingdom of freaking Hearts (I added the freaking in there for effect, it's just Kingdom of Hearts) Where, for the record, the villainess only has two possible endings 1) execution and 2) getting exiled. So Fate was like, "Don't worry, I'll save you. Here's a chance to live" and then was like "psyche, screw you. You're still going to die but I'll let you suffer a little first." So now, if only to annoy Fate by proving it wrong, I am determined to survive. I can and I will if I play by these simple rules: 1) Befriend Heroin 2) Avoid Aryn Edwards at All Costs as well as other capture targets And 3) Be the top student at the academy and become an invaluable asset to my Kingdom so I become indispensable, thus unkillable. I'm determined, stubborn, persistent and I will live passed 16. Fate made a big mistake setting me up to die. Since it threw this plot twist at me, I figure I'll return the favor. I'll be the biggest plot twist Fate never saw coming...

{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16
Pretty, Popular and Partnered by FallenStar22
10 parts Complete
“Every girl wants to be pretty, popular and partnered.” I, Poppy Lake, need help. I seem incapable of functioning like a normal teenage girl; I’m not pretty, popular and I’ve never so much as held a boy’s hand let alone had a boyfriend. Wherever girls learn how to do this stuff, I need to find out. Do they have some secret society or something where they discover these skills? I’m thirteen and I hardly know how make friends. Funnily enough, that’s almost the least of my worries. My hair has not grown at all in the last two months and the little hair I have is frizzy and dull. I can’t wake up without it looking like a puffball and my attempts to grow it out have failed. The flakes of dry skin on my legs were bugging me so I tried to scrap them off but they were everywhere and rubbing my hand up and down my shin only revealed I needed to shave my legs. At some point, my thighs and tummy had expanded without me noticing (although how I missed that I don’t know) and now I looked like an elephant. Unfortunately, my ears support this look by being perpendicular to my head. I pulled my trousers back down and caught sight of at least another ten spots emerging on my forehead, chin and neck. I’ve tried squeezing them, putting toothpaste on them and even skipping chocolate for two weeks, but spots remain stubbornly there whatever I do. Why does my body feel the need to punish me so much? I threw myself on my bed so I wouldn’t have to look at my horrible, imperfect face in the mirror any more. “Urgh,” I moaned into the covers. There was a lot going wrong in my life: 1. My face is hideous; 2. I’m fat; 3. None of the clothes I own are remotely stylish; 4. I have never been asked out; 5. The most popular girl at school hates me; 6. And I fancy her boyfriend. ---- Based off How To Be Popular by Meg Cabot, the story follows Poppy, a young girl in a situation similar to Steph's who gets personal advice from the mentor herself.

With her new friend Devin by her side, nothing seems impossible. But when she realizes Devin kept a life changing secret from her, where does her judgment go from there? Sneak Peek: I tried to get up. But I couldn't feel any parts of my body. There was blood dripping from everywhere I looked. I could swear my leg was broken. Damn that troll was just tossing and throwing me around like I was a doll. Everything was silent except the ringing in my ears and the cheering and jeering of the audience above the commands of the queen to kill me. I could hear something else. A cry. A sobbing cry. I had enough strength left in my body to turn my head. And that's when all sense of pain left my body. I saw Devin with a blade to her neck next to the queen. She was crying out to me, "Please Tara just surrender! You'll die if you keep going! PLEASE!!!" She cried and begged me to stop but the queen silenced her. I tried to get to her but I couldn't get up. I sat there thinking to myself frantically "What do I do?! What do I do?!" She sounded so terrified. The Season Winter troll I was battling went to pick me up before its hand and head were sliced off in a split second. The audience went silent as I stood and glared at the Queen pointing my sword at her, its blade dripping the blood of my defeated opponent. The Guardian gave me the power surge I needed to force my way through the Queen's defenses, who she demanded subdue me. They were innocent, but stood in my way. So I had to cut them down.
