Soliloquy of the Wolf

My face was forced up, my eyes clashing with brilliant irises of dark, seductive blue contrasting with the golden rings that surrounded them. Eyes that immediately became interested upon seeing me in rags and chains; shackled prey unable to escape. Yet some small, irritating part of me couldn't help but cringe at the intensity, at the sheer weight of the gaze. Cringe at the prospect of being so thoroughly examined by the King. My hands started sweating, my knees shaking yet I didn't waver and saw myself intrigue him tenfold.
"Are you certain this is the one?" The simple question statement held so much quiet vigor, that even the guards holding my chains stuttered as the affirmed his statement. For the bastard that he was, I instantly hated the dark lilt in his tone, the underlying accent increasing the sensuality of every word and causing a low throb to burn deep within me. He smiled, a dangerous one, at seeing the reactions he managed to arouse inside, akin to a wolf quietly expressing its triumph before pouncing on an unaware deer.
"Let's proceed, shall we?"
