After a brutal attack in the middle of the night, vampires have taken over the entire town! Along with over half the humans. The humans that do remain, however, are basically walking blood banks. 

Once Rose's sister is taken, her family hides her in the house for ten years. Scared she would share the same fate. But when something unexpected happens to her father, and the vampires learn of Rose's existence, she is forced to attend high school with them. 

Everyday Rose struggles to survive. Yet her curiosity gets the best of her, making her even more vulnerable to the vampire community. Discovering secrets that will change her life forever.
