Standing on the precibus of insanity is a terrifying and peaceful thing. Just as death, it signifies not...being... anymore. No longer is that body the person you knew. You can't interact with the dead in the way that you interacted with the person once inhabiting it, same as not being able to interact with the body of someone driven to insanity the same way you once did. They are no longer the same person. Whether through pain and suffering, or a fluke in the brain by some freak accident, that body is no longer being controlled by the person that it was before. Everyone changes throughout his/her lifetime and nobody is the same as they were when first born, but not everyone experiences death before his/her final breath is taken.
