It takes place in a modern day Manhattan because that's what republic city reminds me of. There will still be bending. This is not smut, so don't ask for details about stuff done at night. I'm gonna assume you know what's happening. Mako makes an appearance at the start, but not at the end. You'll see why. Once we meet Asami, I'll switch between her and Korra. After Naomi's dad past away, everything has been difficult for her. Kya can't watch her own daughter feel this kind of hurt anymore, so she gets the idea of sending Naomi to Republic City. Where she can get away from all the hurtful memories, and live there with her uncle, his family and Naomi's childhood friend the amazing Avatar Korra. In Republic City, Naomi meets Korra's new friends, and she help Korra with her fight against Amon.

Korra is currently in an unstable condition as both Mako and Bolin are dead due to her carelessness and rush to action. Ever since their deaths, Korra has been staying with Tenzin at the Air Nation, trying to cope with her inner demons. While Korra is trying to keep clear of what little is left of her sanity, Republic City is in trouble as a new religious cult known as the Iron Bloods have arrived and are terrorizing the city. The only person that could help bring the Avatar back is Asami, her only friend. Watch as Korra tries to save Republic City from the brink of destruction while meeting some old friends and enemies. Perhaps this is the perfect situation for Korra to develop her relationship with Asami from just friends to potential lovers.

Mako, a detective at the police department in Republic City, who had been known to also be Avatar Korra's former ex-lover finds out that the Avatar has gone missing. As soon as he finds out he takes on the case of the missing avatar herself and sets out on a journey together with his former team avatar and everyone else he had been working with. (I did not come up with these characters, they are from the show The Legend Of Korra.) I originally wrote this on AO3 but I wanted to insert this story here too.
