Lost

How could I be so stupid? I thought to myself.
The pain in my feet momentarily making me stop to catch my breath.
In my haste to get out of my tent I had not put them on.
Still hearing an eco of the scream that had woken me, I looked around the dark forest and almost screamed.
With the little light coming from the full moon, I saw two orbs of silvery light.
Trembling with fear, I watched them move closer and almost gaspt as a figure emerged.
