Once upon a time, Mortals and Immortals lived together in peace. 

But, like every story ever written, all good things must come to an end. Let's just say this one didn't end with a "happily ever after." 

For hundreds of years, the Immortal War has raged. The Mortals, all of Earth's creatures, against the Immortals, every creature on the other side of the Gate. Dragons, the leaders of the Immortals, against humans, the leaders of the Mortals. The war is at a stand still. No side has a clear advantage over the other. Emerald James is nobody special. Well, to anybody but her village that is. Everybody likes Emmy. She's nice. 

That is, until she got in a fight with the Chief's son. For one brief minute in time, her eyes change to become a golden hue. Her eyes reflect the thing she hates the most. Dragons. Emmy is exiled into the harsh world to fend for herself. She's the last Dragonian that the humans know of. Dragonians have dragon blood pumping fiercely through their veins. Emmy doesn't know anything about her past and is determined to figure it out. 

The problem is that both sides of the war is trying to recruit her. With or without her agreement. Add in one strange boy that keeps popping up and saving her life, and you have just a glimpse of the confusing events that Emmy calls her life.
