The truck pulled to a stop, feeling a bit dazed she stumbles out into the night, finding herself in the middle of the woods looking out at a cliff, the moon hung low in the sky, causing a dim light just bright enough to see the surroundings. She begins to fret, shaking from the fear of entrusting someone when she didn't even know their name, she turns to look back in the drivers seat for the man, but the truck door was left open, the seat was empty, and keys were gone. She starts backing away from the truck, every step leading her closer to the edge of the cliff, her eyes darting back and forth, searching for the slightest sign where the man could be.

We all thought we were the ones at the top of the food chain, completely untouchable. However it was like I said, we 'thought' we were. Its only until she touches the wings that she realises that they are very much real. Within an instant, Mira's life is turned upside down. Knowing now that angels and demons are real and have been living amongst humans on earth for decades, she decides she needs to learn more about them and about the sight that she was gifted by this mysterious angel, Jenziel. One other thing bothered Mira. Where were the other women with the sight and why was she the only one to be gifted the sight? Did it have something to do with the broody, burly, yet strikingly handsome fallen angel who undoubtedly looked like he was dying to kill her? With Lucifer's demons hunting her down, time is running out for Mira. If Lucifer get his hands on her, he will use her to spawn more advanced demons. Her steps echoed loudly through the silence as she thumped through the woods as though the devil himself was at her heels. The adrenaline pumping through her veins held back the pains of the sharp cuts that the unmerciful wood grounds had tattooed on her bare feet. The branches danced along her fair flawless skin creating a pattern of it's own as it ripped through her plain white chemise which now spotted streaks of red and brown. The flimsy material, now drenched in sweat clung fiercely to her body like a second skin outlining every dip, every edge and every curve...... Her beating heart echoed through the silence in her head but she could still hear the growls of the beast that had been pursuing her relentlessly. She screamed in earnest as a hand took hold of her arm, and then even more when her own hand reached for something to hang onto and grasped at empty air. She had been scrambling towards a sudden drop! The hands hauled her back, but she still struggled. She didn't want to look at it, and she still wasn't sure she wouldn't rather take her chances with the open air instead. "Stop it, I'm not going to hurt you! You'll hit your head on the rock or something. Wren, please!" It knew her name. Somehow it knew her. She was going to die! "Let me go! Stop touching me!" She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.Complete
