Keith Kogane has never been one to believe the tales of the stars. After all, the stars were the ones who took away everything he had. His family, his only friend, everything he loved... the list goes on and on. Thanks to years of experience through pain, he stopped believing the legends about the stars. Why should he? They were the ones who chose his fate, so they are to blame for all the things that happened to him. He was often looked down on and criticized because of his distaste for the "gods" they all admired. For the most part of his life, he was seen as a "loner". And he was fine with that. That was, until he met Lance McClain.

Lance McClain was your ordinary high school student. Well, that was from the outside. He was known as a handsome young playboy, he wasn't terribly popular, but was popular enough that everyone knew who he was. However, underneath all the cocky smirks and confident grins, he was hiding a wide range of insecurities. The heartbreak of the last person he truly loved was still actively eating him alive. This lead to a variety of facts about himself he wasn't particularly proud of, and grew to hate himself for. The reason he hides it is so everyone else doesn't know and only make it worse.

Once they meet, will they be able to see past their differences? Perhaps even help each other overcome their traumatic past experiences that cause them so much grief? And maybe... just maybe they could fall in love in the process? Who knows what will happen?
