In a world where DC and Marvel are mixed, people form different alliances, they have people of higher power as friends while some of the other heroes are still kept at an arms length. In this story Bucky and Dick have been dating for three years. They adopted a young baby girl and both live with Bruce Wayne. Dick owns a circus and amusement park while working as a vigilante with S.H.I.E.L.D and the Justice League.
Bucky is a landlord and mechanic still holding a position with the Avengers. Though what almost no one knows is that he's been working with a man named Victor Vincent.
Victor is ex CIA presumed to be dead.
Victor and his friend Reese are on a mission to stop planned crime.
Reese used to work for the government where he built a machine that uses the cities cameras, phone lines and satellites to pick out those who plan homicides, pulling their social security number to make them more traceable. The intention was to stop mass terrorist attacks however the machine was unable to detect the difference between the relevant (terrorist) and irrelevant (singular homicides) crimes, so Reese taught it the difference. Every night at midnight the system deleted the irrelevant list making Reese drown in guilt. After the government let him go he found Victor and together began working on saving or stopping the people on the irrelevant list. One day Bucky Barnes was the one on the list so Victor was sent to find him and that's when they began working together.
This is a story about what happens when these men go in too deep.
A story about learning to trust those they presumed they couldn't trust.
A story about the government and heroes working side by side for the greater good. (Based off the TV show person of interest)

In the not-so-distant future evolved humans emerged. Those who had powers that broke conventional laws of physics, chemistry, and biology were dubbed E.H.s (evolved humans); it was wondrous for a time. Of course if there was power to be used there would be those who misuse. While Adlet and Jenna intend on doing this by the books, their unsavory past with two of String's captains may muddy their judgement, or, more accurately, it already has. As String's ambitions grow beyond just controlling the city's underbelly Adlet and Jenna are forced to take action with an ally he did not desire. While prejudice against E.H.s reaches it's peak because of a horrific tragedy, the Soldiers of the New World waste no time to expand their reach and rally for their cause of taking over the city. Adlet goes to the edge of sacrificing everything and back again. On the way, betrayal awaits at every corner. *The story has been edited and revised* Bucky Barnes had finally ran away from HYDRA, but he was in hiding. He was too worried, and a bit scared, to go to his childhood friend, Steve Rogers, so he tried to hide from the blonde as well. Bucky had jumped from place to place for a while, running into HYDRA agents every few months. He was tired of running, and he hoped soon he'd be able to find a place to stay; a place to have somewhat of a home and to finally start remembering who he was and what happened in his life. After a year of being on the run, Bucky decided to hideout in a small town in Ireland. The town had a semi-small population, and the people seemed to mind their own business. He found himself a cheap apartment, number 101, and he was easily able to hide from the world while in the small living area. *************** In apartment 102, lived a woman by the name of Harlow Simpson. Harlow was a sweet girl who moved to Ireland years ago with her brother Wade. Wade had run away from home because he had accidentally had a daughter, Jodie, a few years back. Harlow had decided to move with her brother and his new born daughter, so she could help him take care of her. When Jodie was two, Wade decided to join an underground fight club, but only a year later, he was killed in a scuffle with a man twice his size over a bet. Harlow was given full custody of Jodie, and she and the small child moved to the apartment to get away from all of the sad memories of Wade. Three years later, Harlow and Jodie were surprised to see a man moving into the small apartment next to theirs. The apartment was very small, and from what Harlow seen, the man really didn't have much to move in. Each day, Harlow and Jodie would watch the man leave, only for him to come back with a small bag of fruit. Harlow was determined to help the man, and Jodie was determined to finally make a friend that didn't think she was weird...Complete

Lexi follows Barnes from a distance, helping to set him up with a home and job, without him knowing it was her. She had moved in to the apartment across from him, playing the friendly neighbour, which was a feat in itself. Lexi was never considered a friendly type of person. It was her mission, to help keep him safe, recover his past, and obtain any Hydra information. She makes sure to bump into him, while shopping for groceries, introducing herself, but she finds he's very closed off and guarded. Can she get through to him, or will he up and run again? When Hydra operatives come crashing through their complex, Lexi must make the choice, to stand and fight, or run. Will the two work together?
