My name is Stephen Littlewood. I have three brothers and four sisters. I was born in what they now call the Early Modern era of Europe. While some born in the 1600s were privileged to live in wealth and luxury, more than three quarters of London’s population lived in the slums.
But enough about me, this story is about a girl—a girl named Rose. She was our youngest sister, one of the 75,000 victims that died of the bubonic plague.
They say every single being has a purpose in life. Mine, I believe, is to share my sister's tale.
