"Liesel, what's the matter?" Max's concern was that of a mother's, so flat, but so serious.

"Max, there is no one to thank left." Liesel changed her view to peer at the dusty floor. She missed Max's countenance gaping mouth and large eyes afflicted by her words.

Not only had Max stolen the sky, he stole Liesel's heart too.

Now, in Post-WWII Germany, the Allies have brought relief. Life is just beginning to come out of hiding, ready to blossom and flourish as it once did before. No one no longer cowers in fear. But something stirs in Russia: Communism. How will a Jew and innocent German girl make it safely in this ever-changing world that is right out their door?

NOTE: This is after The Book Thief story (sequel if you will), so there are some spoilers if you haven't seen/read anything about it. However, if you don't care about the movie/book/spoilers, then it still makes for an eye opening, post-WWII fan fiction. Personally, I feel this is my best piece of writing I've ever shared on Wattpad. I hope everyone enjoys!

NOTE: I DO NOT own any of the characters or the cover picture!

I decided to explore a little and found a room that had a beautiful black bed. It was very masculine, but the smell gave me butterflies. I approached the curtains on the large and long windows and gently touched them. "May I help you?" a tall figure asked with his hands In his pockets. I quickly turned around and was shocked at the sight I was seeing. It was the man with beautiful brown eyes. "No, I'm sorry, I just liked the way your room looked," I told him with a slight smile. ₊˚ʚ ᗢ₊˚✧ ゚. There is an unexpected turn in the story that drastically changes the course of events and, in the long run, even the lives of those involved. Magpie, the first to be involved, suddenly finds himself in the world so unlike his own. Will he find his place there or will he be at least able to go back home? He seems to find his way back from this new world of giga-dimensions but something unwanted happens, and things go worse. The cultural differences, together with a challenging personality traits of another involved in the events, suck Magpie and his friends into a downward spiral. The story challenges you to see the world differently from the perspective you are perhaps too used to and narrowed by. Life can be an adventure if you don't narrow it with a bigotry that forces you to be rooted in your trenches and behind your dividing walls. This doesn't mean you have to accept others' views without standing your ground. However, to be able to share our lives in this one and only world we need to make compromises, on both sides. Are you the first brave one to set this positive trend in motion? So read on and let the foundation of the story be laid. From the end of episode 1 on, the story really picks up, finally reaching its climax at the end of episode 3 with quite a surprising finish. Your participation in solving this shared challenge of coexistence and cooperation is highly appreciated. Remember those who cooperate make more progress than those who don't! The ideal audience for my first book is actually between 12 and 16, but anybody older and interested in adventures, cultures and in getting more understanding into our multifaceted world is sure to enjoy the story. (The whole story has now been published, the only thing I'll still add is the final epilogue but the story is already available in its entirety.)

Book 1 of the Rising Phoenix trilogy. Would you choose love over peace? Two months away from her graduation day, all Cerise wants is to keep up her grades, continue inventing, and somehow manage to pay off her rent. The fact that she's Paris's secret thief by night makes life all the more exciting. That is, until she gets caught by her stepmother. The last person she wants anything to do with and the president. Her freedom from years in jail comes with a price - stealing from the Drakhenae. She has to steal the one thing that can give her race, the humans, exactly what they need to get rid of the Drakhenae once and for all, information on something stronger, something more than the Drakhenae, something that can destroy them. Information on an experiment that happened fifteen years ago, and about the test subject who disappeared. Despite the confusing tension and rough history between the two races, and the fact that to humans, the Drakhenae are predators, more reptile than human with their leathery wings, slit pupils and the scales on their cheeks, Cerise agrees to go. But her heist couldn't go more wrong, and to make things worse, she gets caught by Everard, the infuriating, confusing, drop-dead gorgeous Drakhenae. Add in the secrets of her past, and the fact that her heart is torn between two people, one with promises, another with secrets, Cerise doesn't know who to trust. And she quickly realizes that things can get worse, and can get worse fast. {Word Count: 50,000-60,000} **Will be undergoing a re-writing soon! This was one of my earlier books, so more improvement is definitely needed -- constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!*** Update 10/06/23: Re-writing will be underway, and as such, chapters will be removed from Wattpad except for the first five (find me on Instagram for further details and information on how you can still read this if you want to).

49 parts Complete

[COMPLETE] [[**Sequel, The Hybrid Harold, is up!**]] The first generation past the war has settled and the result is something no one from the past would recognize. In the United Human Alliance, the human run country that takes up much of the land mass that used to be the United States, magical children are taken from their parents and sent to boarding school at a young age. What provides humanity with safety from 'volatile' magical beings separates parents from their children and young adults from their culture. Alenia Paetzold is the prime example of what the UHA has created. A domestic dragon. That's why they never expect her to find her wings and burn the cage she is held in to the ground. Getting there, however, takes a prophecy, a lot of lies, and overwhelming love. "For The War Is Lost if They Can Not Win Their Child's Life Lost for Their Sin" ***OMG IT GOT TO NUMBER 1 IN MATRIARCHY!*** ***AND #4 IN FANTASY-ROMANCE!*** Trigger Warnings: Death. If you find something I have overlooked (which may happen, I've read this book a million times) please let me know and I will update! July 2020: I've entered this story to the 2020 Watty Awards! Please please vote! Thank you!
