She's been abused her whole life. No one to turn to. No one to trust. She's had to hold the weight of knowing that being what she is has destroyed her family. She's an outcast. A freak. She lost her mother, and she blames herself for it.

This young girl knows the same struggles as a Nico di Angelo. Nico is from a different time. He's lived a different life. He's survived through World War II. He thinks he doesn't belong here. In this world or in this time period. He's not wrong either.

All either of them have ever wanted to be accepted by someone despite their lineage. Their parents have ruined everything for them. It's sad how a bad reputation can cause people to outcast others.

Will these two outcasts find each other? Will they accept each other? Can they save each other from themselves, all while preventing a war?

Nico di Angelo is finally happy. He's learning to accept himself for his sexuality and as a son of Hades. After everything horrible that has happened to him, he's slowly getting better with the help of Will and his friends. Will Solace finally got the boy of his dreams. The boy he had a crush on since he was 11 years old. He's starting to realize that he isn't as useless as he thinks he is, and that he's actually worth something. Everything is going great for a while. But just like it always is for demigods, nothing good ever lasts. The death of Nico's first and closest friend Jason Grace puts a sudden end to the sunshine that currently brightens Nico's life for once. His death triggers a lot of things for him, and shines light on a lot of his unresolved trauma. Will Nico be able to make it through this without his mental stability completely breaking once and for all? Will Nico be able to let people in enough to help him get through it? And what about the mysterious dreams that Nico keeps having of his mom? And who really is this little girl that knows nothing about her past? In this sequel to Out of the Shadows, Nico sees familiar faces and revisits past places, but at least this time he has Will along for the ride. Spoilers for basically every Percy Jackson book, including Tower of Nero. ⚠️ Trigger Warning ⚠️ death, homophobia, mental health issues that includes but not limited to PTSD and depression, heavy angst later on, brief harassment and brief physical violence (someone gets slapped once). Thank you so much, Selene (aka @riptide2406) for all of the help! I couldn't have done this without you! Everyone, go check out her page and follow her! She's super cool, and one of the very best friends I have on here! All character, world and basically everything rights goes to the amazing Rick Troll Riordan, except for the plot points I made and the characters I created. Art credits to unknown artist, please tell me if you know who made it.

Will Solace Dies

12 parts Complete

What started as Nico simply being hurt in battle, ends in tragedy. Will heals him, but at what cost? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I'm sorry," Will had finally ripped his eyes away from his would, letting them trail up to find mine, "I have to go. Lee's here." He whispers. "I love-" and then he's gone. I felt his life go out. It hit me in the chest like that arrow did no more than an hour ago. I fall back for a second, before getting up to hold onto Will. I scream. And sob. And say his name over and over and over again.
