Lacunosa Town, Unova--a town surrounded by a single wall that barricades the land completely. Folklore spoken by the elders tells the same chilling tale:

One day many centuries ago, a large meteor fell from the sky. Inside this meteor was a terrifying monster constructed of ice. At night this unidentified monster would appear within the town, accompanied by cold winds, and take away any living thing to appease its growing appetite. As time passed, the villagers built a large wall. All of them hoping it would keep the feared beast outside of their town for good.

Ever since the walls construction, the monster has never returned.

As generations passed on, a rule was upheld by the villagers--forbidding anyone to leave town once the sun falls below the horizon. Current Lacunosa residents claim to no longer believe this old tale, but many will still stay inside of their houses.

Just to make sure that this tale of folklore isn't true.

~~ ❄~❄~❄ ~~

Upon hearing of this tale, Matthew Hazner and his assistant Deering are dedicated to solving it. The Seasonal Lab Professor wants to find the monster sealed within Giant Chasm--even though there's no proven evidence that such a creature existed in the first place... The only thing that could correlate any possible association is the drastic changes in climate, but even that has uncertainty.

That is until Hazner breaks the long standing rule during his time studying in Lacunosa and leaves the town at night...where he finds himself amidst a plotted scheme that could make Unova fall under an endless winter.

(It's been a while since I made a Touhou story... a really long time in fact.) Gensokyo, a land where the fantasy and the unknown is more than mere myths written on papers and spread by superstitious people. Inside, a completely different world exist, a world separated from our own by the great Hakurei Barrier. In it, youkais exist and live their lives while the few humans inside are grouped together, living in fear of the monsters roaming this land. This is how Gensokyo behaves; a stable "peace" maintained by people in charge of keeping this world of fantasy in its current state. With so many creatures with different mindsets and frightening powers, events called "incidents" are bound to occur. Thankfully, the shrine maiden attending to the barrier is quick to take action, even despite her annoyed groans. ...This is one of those many incidents that should have easily been taken care of. Yes, a winter overstaying its welcome seemed like an easy task to deal with. Yet, something went wrong. It was never solved. The endless snow continued to fall and no one could understand what caused this drastic change. The weather grew stronger and with it, its poison and true intentions finally emerged. Those exposed to the harsh environment soon began to suffer symptoms of a strange disease and fell into madness, attacking everyone in sight regardless of their nature. It was not uncommon to see Fairies attack and even devour each other for survival against the temperature. The threat Gensokyo was facing seemed relentless and nobody was safe from its effect; going outside with no protection was akin to signing your last will. Finally... the last straw that brought ruin to this world was the death of the shrine maiden. The strength of this eternal winter slipped past the breaking barrier and reached the Outside World, plunging the planet into chaos. The only hope the sane humans and youkais have is to find the source of this incident and put an end to it.

113 parts Complete Mature
N's son Neptune has long accepted that his own son died in tragic circumstances. So when he gets an unexpected call from a stranger in Galar, claiming that his son is alive and well, he doesn't know what to think. This unidentified man also claims to be a member of the criminal syndicate Cipher. It's suspected that they aided Team Plasma's last revival, but why would even Team Plasma know the location of a baby who supposedly drowned when he was only one week old? Naturally, Neptune and his friends want to find out for themselves, but this is an International Police issue as well as a personal one. They send two promising young officers, Triton and Sam, but that won't be enough. They also enlist the help of a woman from Orre, Heather. She's a bounty hunter, hacker, frighteningly strong Trainer and most importantly, she can see the auras of Shadow Pokémon - which may well be necessary if Team Plasma and Cipher really are working together. Evil teams aren't the only enemies awaiting these young heroes in Galar. Heather thinks she's seen it all. She thinks she's immune to falling in love, but a mysterious and eccentric young man might just prove otherwise... and it might just impact the investigation. Not to mention the appearance of a maniac from 300 years ago... ★★★ CW: Rated mature for language, violence and overcoming abuse. Timeline: 75 years after Pokémon Colosseum, 69 years after Pokémon Black/White, 61 years after Sword/Shield Regions: Galar, Unova, Orre, Sinnoh/Hisui ★★★ This story can be read on its own (all references to the past will be explained), but it is also a sequel. I'd recommend reading my other stories to avoid spoilers and get familiar with the OCs. They're best read in the order they were written: 1. Homecoming 2. Fool's Gold 3. Battle Armour 4. Bloodstone 5. Obsidian 6. Azurite 7. Turquoise 8. This story 9. Mars 10. Mars 2/Hour Before Dawn This story also spoilers parts of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

The Heroes of Truth and Ideals have left the Unova region, leaving behind chaos that eventually settled. Nathan Acress, a new Trainer hoping to make it to the top and become Unova's Champion. His twin sister Rosalyn, a young woman along for the ride who dreams of becoming an assistant to Professor Juniper. And Hugh Vallance, a mutual friend who refuses the help of others and is haunted by the memory of a white-haired stranger who ruined his and his little sister's lives. These three set out on their journeys together but soon end up wrapped in a tangled web of secrecy, revenge plots, regional dominance, and forgotten legends. With the guidance of an undercover Trainer that knows far more than he lets on, the young teens find themselves dragged though a torrent of events they never would have expected to encounter... Events that reveal what is causing the unseasonal cold, and what chills the wind may carry in the near future. The Journey of A Champion: A Pokemon Fanfic by MoonCrane098

Unova, a region where hundreds of Pokemon are still undiscovered and a year before the immoral Team Plasma threatened the peace. Due to the Hero and his friends' valiant efforts the evil organization was disbanded; members scattered across Unova. Now, Professor Juniper has come back from her journey of assisting the new champion to an eager young girl, one whose Pokemon journey was put off for years by the events, Riley. And the minute the professor returns she's out the door. As her journey begins, Riley meets a young boy who's labeled himself as a failure, but refuses to accept her help or convenience her with respect. They reluctantly travel together and Riley becomes aware of a name being used to refer to her: Champion, though she hasn't won any gym badges or done anything special. Meanwhile, in the shadows, Team Plasma reorganizes, gaining strength under corrupt Sages and officers and led by Ghetsis. The team preaches a new direction, but the same motives added to a more "direct" and violent approach. It searches for objects it's lost and powerful members who've fled; all the while planning a destructive and unstoppable endgame, eventually crossing paths with Riley. The new trainer sees Team Plasma's vile actions and builds up a hatred for it, becoming determined to stop them whenever they meet while continuing THE JOURNEY OF A CHAMPION. Art used for the cover was created by Xous54 on deviantart and the Pokemon company. I do not own it and all credit for its creation goes to them.
