Beautiful book nerd who has no idea how beautiful she really is, shy and cautious because of all she's been through, Mila Paterson is a breath of fresh air in this smog of darkness Cian calls life. Try as he might Cian can't shake her. Mila's always in his head, no matter what he can't forget about her luscious brown hair, brown eyes that resembled a caramel taffy, caramel like skin, and the freckles splashed randomly but artfully on her face. Like God spent a little extra time on this one, if Cian believed in God, called Mila.

Mila Paterson didn't think she was anything special. Boring hair, boring eyes, pudgy stomach and thighs, and dirty looking freckles that her face seems to drown in. No, she definitely wasn't special.
