a fake military story from a real military writer. I am a US Army Soldier and a combat medic. We follow a company of Soldiers through basic training and off to all their individual advanced training, look at the end of each chapter for an index of words I used through my writing that may not be known by civilians such as POG, BCT, AIT, FUBAR, etc. Read on to learn about the soldiers of Templar platoon!
It is meant to be read as a collection of journal entrances by the different soldiers, all the soldiers have a real-life soldier that they are based on but the names and descriptions are changed for security reasons
My opinions are not those of the United States Army or the US Army medical corp of which I am a current sworn member of both, ask me about my service in a private message! I will tell you all about it!

Levi's Last Hope by LovedAThousandLives

*COMPLETED* When Rosie turned thirty-one with nothing to show for it, she panicked. Suddenly it felt like her biological clock was ticking, but she didn't want to settle for a man for the sake of having a child. So, after falling down a rabbit hole of research online, she decided to find herself a sperm donor. A strangely vague profile ends up catching her interest. The only real thing she learned about him was that his name was Levi and he was in the military. One invasive and intimate procedure later, Lily was conceived. It was a few months after her daughter was born, when Rosie should have been fretting about the price of nappies and lack of sleep, her worries were overshadowed by an event she never, ever could have predicted: a zombie outbreak. Rosie locked herself away in Finches tower block, stocked up on supplies from abandoned neighbouring flats, and lived every day with the sole purpose of keeping her daughter alive. Doing so meant avoiding the dead as well as the living. She'd been doing a decent job of it so far. Until a man breaks into the tower block, but it wasn't just any man. It was Levi, Lily's literal sperm donor. And he was there to save them. -- When a bioweapon was released on UK soil, Staff Sergeant Levi James Brackley was sent from pillar to post in an attempt to help neutralise and contain. Once it was clear neither was possible the last resort was to form a safe zone on the Isle of Wight. Levi decided to stay behind. The last evac chopper left without him on board. He knew it was a shot in the dark, that they were probably dead already, but he had to try. Without knowing it, they'd become a beacon of light during the darkest time of his life. Now it was his turn to be there's.
Earning my Wings: A Mormon Woman's Journey to Marine Corps Aviator by JanineSpendlove

I wrote this book primarily for my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great… well, you get my drift. Having not yet completed my service to the United States Marine Corps, I thought it would be a bit presumptuous to pen my memoirs. That said, my family and friends have always enjoyed hearing my flight stories. So, I dug out some of my old journals and decided that I’d give an accounting of my flight school adventures. This is by no means representative of everyone’s time in Naval Flight School—this was just my personal experience and point of view on things. So, if you’d like to find out how a Utah girl who’d never given any thought to becoming a pilot before, much less touched the controls of the plane, ended up earning her wings of gold, read on. Semper Fly, Janine K. Spendlove ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ From my journal, dated 3 March 2002 On Monday something crazy happened. We were flying our Form Solo. I was “lead” so I named our flight “Vader” flight, cool eh? So anyway I was flying us out to the area (2F) & as soon as I leveled us off @ 6500ft I noticed my oil pressure was dropping. This is bad because if it drops too low your propeller will feather & your plane becomes a glider—basically your engine is worthless. I stayed calm & let my flight instructor know about my problem. The instructor in the chase plane sent my wing home & followed me down & made my radio calls for me while I executed my emergency landing at Brewton field. My landing was ugly—but I was nervous. I didn’t break anything & I’m alive. ☺
"Almost Green" by NUmaker

Strands of your mind cling together like web to a slippery leaf bathed in the morning dew. You have seen both heaven and hell, witnessed the atrocities of war firsthand, and imagined a better life in the deepest, most intimate corners of your dreaming spirit. The wishes for peace and certainty you have once so desperately longed for, now lay trampled underneath the might of your mind's vivid horrors. What was once so bright and lively, now cowers in fear, clinging to gone memories like a shipwreck survivor to some lowly piece of driftwood. From the depths of hell, you arrived victorious, grasping the laurel wreath high above your head. Unrecognizable, with your empty eyes telling a story of innocence brutally taken away from the child curling in shame in the depths of your empty soul. Almost green you are, curly head, having grown up with a rifle by your bedside table, never knowing peace and quiet. Out of the pan that was the Kazdel Civil War and into the scorching flames of Lungmen, where life flows by on its own accord, here, you must learn to live once more. So put on your best facade, Let the reuniting trumpets ring a wild, And allow the city to swallow you whole. Here we are, a continuation of my previous work "Goodbye Curly Head", which sprawled into quite the epistle (but it wasn't really a letter, it's just long :P). Summarized in the most basic way possible, it's a story about a twenty-year-old Kazdel Civil War veteran who goes to Lungmen and has some troubles acclimating to the steady life presented before him. Sprinkle in a too-good-to-be-true offer and a freshly established logistics company, and you get Andy trying to make it big for as long as his deteriorating mental state lets him. I'd say it works as a standalone story for anyone who doesn't want to bother reading the first part. For now, at least. As always, please, pwwease leave a comment, positive, negative, I LOOOVE reading and replying to comments!!

" I lunge forward at him hitting his groin with my knee then right between the eyes. As soon as I do, he crashes to the ground, out cold. I go for more, but a pair of arms snatch my waist lifting me up. I kick my legs and flail my arms to get closer but he is too strong. "Let go of me!" I demand. "Shut up." A low strong voice commands."Is he okay?" "He is fine." I grunt. Then the young adult wakes up, then scurries back away from me. "Sorry ma'- miss... " he says, making me angry again. I give him a cold stare. "I'm sorry." He repeats, standing to his feet. "Put. Me. Down." I demand again. With a huff he puts me down. I step forward with full intentions to punch him again but the man behind me takes my arm, holding me back. I jerk forward to get off his grip but he takes my other arm tightly. "Alright! I'm done! I'm done!" I huff in defeat. " This story follows Astrid, a 26 year old female who ran away from home 10 years ago. Marching Fleet by MauryWGarcia

This is a show script inspired heavily by many different classic franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar: Galactica and Halo. The story is a military sci-fi action show with a bit of drama in between and some fantasy elements later on and also sprinkled with comedy now and again. The show is also heavily peppered with music terminology and music references like the names of certain ships and aspects of war and the names of factions specially. I made this show as an allegory for my experience in band and all characters are based on real people and the relationships between them. If you are interested in the show script and want to provide helpful criticism and/or ask questions about the show, you can contact me on the Marching Fleet Instagram page linked below. A story about war in the universe. I joined the band at my high school as a brass player, specifically tuba, and became obsessed with all things music, it was always present in all things I did. One day I made a drawing of a ship and called it the "SS Vanguard Brass" and sent it to my friends in brass. One responded by saying "hey, that should be a fan fiction or something"(Duclos), so I sat down and thought about it and decided that if I was going to do it, even though I adore movies, it would have to be a show. So I spent a few hours of my day that I had to spare and wrote a pilot that I then shared with my friends. They adored the script and said they would support me with creative help(meaning they would judge would I write). A few months later it is now being read by many people I know, including the director of my high school band. Good soldiers follow orders, but true warriors know what is right. Since the start of civilization, soldiers have been a part of every society. They are trained only for one thing: War. Though it is not necessarily a part of the human mentality, it has existed and ravaged over the millenias. Occasionally, a soldier would ask himself: "Why do they fight?" "Is it really worth the lives of our brothers and sisters?" ... "Does love bloom in the darkest of paths?" ++++++++++++++++++++ OC x Male reader insert Slow paced romance and may include in-game characters with actual personalities and interactions that I made myself, because come on. Naming NPCs without backstories? Makes the story kind of bland for me but meh, that's my opinion. Default name for the reader is 'Argen Lorderius.' Btw, I do not own any pictures and other stuff in the fanfic. Refer to the disclaimer on each chapter :/.
