August 14, 3044. It was a future where humans didn't have to advance because technology did all the work for them. A future where children couldn't visit their parents after a certain age and you barely know the route through your own house because your teleporting from the bedroom to the kitchen. - Ok, ok. I think I've dropped enough hints about the fact that I'm 'different'. I guess I should spill the beans. When I was born, I had a rare cancer- mum had told me this. She didn't tell me anything else about my birth, other than that the kemo therapy went wrong. The doctors were testing a new serum that didn't cooperate with my blood type. It did cure the cancer, but it had a side effect. The serum made my bones and muscles shrink down to about a tenth of their original size. I'm very small for my age, I have to say. I'm quite proud of myself though- I've grown half a millimetre so now I'm about the size of an artline pen. Amy Leebeck is your average 16 year old girl, apart from one tiny detail. She has grown up the size of a doll and faces the tough challenges of living at her size. When she was abducted by a boy fighting a lost cause, Amy thought that her pitiful existence was over.
