'You should write a story about that.' It's a line that writers hear a lot, a bit like comedians in a bar being told. 'Here's a joke for you.' Best to smile politely and change the subject or get a round in. There are occasions when I didn't do either, and there will be occasions I don't do that in the future. These stories are and will be the result. I also include the background to the story for the curious but I'll keep the identities secret. I don't want you chasing them down in search of ideas for your next novel. :) The Daylight Room: A very young boy understands that what he did was wrong. What he doesn't understand is that the punishment is much, much wronger.

In a small town, horrible things can happen. Affairs, rape, murder, preserving constant agony of others in order to call upon the Sun himself. So what is a family to do, but celebrate with a baby shower? Little do they know, one of them would be stuck in a room of ice months later as punishment for things they've done. Everything is connected. Everything. Any and every small detail is important, but none of the gloom is enough to prevent the magnificence of a few missteps. Missteps, of course, that are able to shatter families without hesitation. No exceptions.Concluida
