Perri was one of the lucky ones who managed to evacuate with the military escorted buses in those early days of the spread. But, that luck didn't last. After one too many tragedies, she had decided to finally leave the, so called, "safe zone". With her main objective being the search for her best friend, she finds more than she bargained for. When a virus outbreak causes a zombie apocolypse in North America, L.J. must find a way to survive without being the next victim of the fatal disease. A virus with unknown origins has spread turning most of the population into flesh eating monsters, despite the warnings people go about their normal lives when the infection hits. Far but close from home, a group of teens are forced into a new world and trying to make sense of all that has happened with the help of unexpected friends and enemies along the way. The undead isn't the worst thing to fear in the apocalypse.

A crippling illness sweeps across the entire world. Those lucky enough to survive the first wave must face difficult challenges as the virus continues to mutate. Becoming infected is no longer the only thing to worry about. The government is gone along with law enforcement and it's survival of the fittest and everyone is on their own.
