"I always keep my promises," he whispered huskily in my ear.

They say one day will change your life, but for Remington it was three.
Three days.
The first was the day her best friend and first love, Chase, moved away.
Next was when her mother died.
And lastly, the third, was when HE came back.

"Chase what's wrong?" I asked lightly toughing his cheek.
"I have to leave," he didn't look at me.
"What do you mean?"
"We're leaving. My dad wants to better his business." he finally looked at my eyes. I wanted to scream, I was losing my other half. He's leaving.
As if reading my mind, he whispers, "I'm coming back.I promise I will," he held out his pinky, a thing we both knew we could never break. I linked our fingers together, nodding.
Sensing my doubt he adds, "Have I ever broken a promise flower?"
He leans in, his lips lightly touch mine. My first kiss. He pulls away and walks away, out of my life.
