This is an idea I have for a short book. I would love to hear what you think and if I should expand on this and give Joanna more character development along with a solution to her issue.

[Book 1] Hi, my name is Ash. Ash. A bit of an unusuall name, I know, but I like it. I am 13 years old and I live in the orphanage that my mother abandoned me at as a baby. I guess I am a normal kid... mostly. The only thing that really sets me apart from other people is the fact that I can create fire with my mind...
