Luna sat silent as she listened to the slow heavy footsteps above. Her heart beat quicker as they stopped directly over her head. Barking and growling could be heard outside where the fighting was, and each time she heard the sound of a body hitting the ground she let out a soft whimper. But not soft enough. I heard the the snow crunching under foot as I ran as fast as my legs would take me through the forest. The air whipped through my hair as I ran, creating a ribbon like flow behind me. I dipped and dodged around trees, careful not to trip or run into anything. Just a little further, I thought to myself. As another lightening strikes across the sky, there is something that catches my attention through the trees not too far away from my house. As I sit up and squint to see what it could possibly be bad another lightening flashes, I see quick movements. One dash after the other seemingly there's a chase of some sort in my backyard, but what are they? I make a dash downstairs to my back door to take a closer look and I'm alarmed by loud Thurs, snarls followed by the loudest howl I have ever heard in all my life.... Wolves?
