I was alone for a long time with no one who has ever loved me.
'He's too dangerous' they said, 'too reckless' they said.
They judge me before they even know me. And then I found friends that were there for me and who cared, and life wasn't so lonely anymore.
Then everyone started finding these persons that were made for them, they say they are called mates and that every one has one.
But with years and years gone by I finally accepted that I will never have one...

"Who are you? Why are you doing this?" she screamed in to the night as frost and ice covered her body. I don't mean to hurt her but with her hurling fire everywhere I would never get a chance to be near her.
"Please stop..." she whispered as she curled into herself to keep warm.
"I'm sorry little mate, I'm truly am... I just wanted you to stop throwing fireballs at me..as they say fire and ice just don't go together..."

Like a hairbrush will do anything, right? The boy didn't seem to be armed with any weapons, but he did carry a wooden staff that hooked at the end. You eyed him carefully. But the boy was taken aback. "You can see me?!" He asked, almost in disbelief. You raised an eyebrow, "..Yes?.. You're not exactly hiding very well if this is hide n' seek," you stated back at him. The boy did a backflip, which you admitted was impressive because you can't even do a cartwheel, and he landed back on his bare feet. You trail off, but he understood you perfectly, almost as if he's gotten this question before before. You still had your guard up. "Okay, so I'm not exactly.. Human.. or alive.. When the evil Pitch Black threatens the children of the world, (Y/N) and Jack are chosen as two new Guardians to defend them. The only problem is, nobody trusts (Y/N), and nobody takes Jack seriously. As a shadowy past threatens to overtake Cupid, she must confront the darker parts of herself or lose the person she cares most about in the world. Note: please don't read this one if you're under 16, 15 absolute minimum. It's not appropriate and it makes me very uncomfortable to see actual children in my comment section. As I grew up in difficult conditions I dismissed all those ideas out of my head. Tales are for children and nothing of it was true. Or so I thought. Until the day the guy I hated the most saved me from imminent death. *** Deep in my being an unbearable anger scattered itself through my body. I clenched my fists. A violent jerk started building up to my vocal cords. I gritted my teeth to keep it under control but in vain my lips began to move. "My life is not an Illusion!" The small crowd still gathered inside the café went silent as they all turned to see what was happening. I bit my lip in embarrassment. Jack slowly turned around and instantly met my eyes.
