All I could hear was the pounding of my heart. Everything else was drowned out by the fan of the hospital room.

"I have what?" I responded.

Then my dad came into the situation, "Hayley, honey, you have lukemia. I know it is sudden but the test proves it."

"I suggest coming up with a bucket list for things to accomplish in the next six months."
