I just get home from going to the diner that i worked at during the summer because my dad was forcing me to get a job, just so he could steal the money that i got on my paycheck. I lived with just my dad because my mom died when i was 4 in a car accident, i was in the car and somehow i survived but my mom didn't and my father blamed me for it saying if she wasn't going to pick me up from daycare than ​the ​love ​of ​his ​life ​would ​still ​be ​here. He goes out every night and gets drunk and my dad is an angry drunk, so when he gets home he finds a way to blame me for something and he would hit me. Nothing too extreme at first but as time passed it got worse, i've been to the hospital ​for ​broken ​ribs ​or ​a ​cracked ​skull. I see that my dad's car isn't in the driveway so i head inside and sit at the table til I heard a knock on the door, I wonder who would be knocking on my door. I shake my head and went to the door, looked through the hole and saw a group of guys not that much older than me probably 18 or 19. I opened the door saw it was HIS group. The guys from the diner but they are missing one.

I wanted to tell him that I prided myself in the fact that I had memorized all the freckles on his skin, how his freckles birthmarks created their own galaxies of planets and stars. I wanted to tell him I would be there for him, on the bad days too. I wanted to tell him he could call be at 3:46 in the morning and just complain, I'd completely understand. I wanted to tell him that he had completely beguiled me; that he was my entire world. I wanted to tell him that I love him more than anything I had ever known. I wanted to run to him, to hug him. I wanted him to wrap his arms around me and never let me go. I wanted to never leave him. I wanted to rule by his side, as his Luna. Instead, I just turned my back in order to not let anyone see my tears. I walked away from the love of my life, for what? For fate? For destiny? Or for some foolish trick that I was walking myself into? No matter the reason, I walked away from him with tears in my eyes and sorrow in my heart. I never wanted to walk away again. He was my mate and all I wanted was him.

I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. It hurt to do anything right now. But I still screamed under the cold water and pushed the hands away as hard as I could. It didn't have much effect. I fought and fought, but I was getting weaker, and colder. The pain was overbearing. I couldn't breathe. It was the worst pain imaginable; and as the hands that were around my neck were forcibly ripped off by some unknown force, I slipped deeper into the depths of the river. My hair was straight above me along with my arms. My eyes were open and the water burned. A darkness started to pull me under, taking the pain away. I felt a small pressure around my waist, before the darkness completely consumed me. The last thing I remember is thinking, save me.
