*Prequel to Realm of Dragons (coming eventually)*

So many books, so little time...

This phrase is brought into a whole new meaning when 14-year-old Aleah discovers a nice little bookshop called "Inkland Adventures." The shop is open for a limited time only, but there are so many amazing books to be bought! Among the possible selections is a book titled "Magic Ink." Aleah loves it immediately, but soon wonders if the stories sitting on its pages are really fiction. Some of the events seem to match up with historical facts a little too perfectly. Remembering the bookshop owner's strange words said to her when the book was purchased, she considers writing her own little snippet inside in honor of his request. But before she has the chance to, she is warned not to do so by someone else. Who is she to believe? Why has God set her on this path?

The Last Knights of Cambria Book 1: Echoes of Gideon by kullman
16 parts Complete
Gideon Saint is dying for something exciting to happen in his life. With his love of history, he figures an internship at the museum has to be a good start, right? Anything is better than listening to his parents argue or sitting alone in his room doing research no one but him seems to care about. A chance encounter with a magical ring leaves him transported to an alternate version of ancient Wales, or as it was sometimes called, Cambria. 1432 Wales, to be exact. Here magic is the most powerful weapon of all as kings vie for power. Good thing Gideon's teleportation from the present has also left him with the ability to use magic, and he's quickly regarded as a powerful wizard. In this timeline, Wales maintained it's independence, but that's about to change. Henry V is on the throne of the England, and the greatest warrior king England has ever had has set his sights on Wales. Can Gideon help save his newfound friends and master his new powers, while living a double life in the 21st century? Ahem, living people die, dying people live, Henry V is here and he's awesome despite being the main antagonist, everybody is vaguely gay, swords are described in loving detail, people are not, lovely platonic friendships, did we mention swords? Yes, you may learn something about history, but that's a risk you'll have to take. Basically, think of this as a Percy Jackson type of adventure, but it's historical fiction instead of Greek gods. The narrator is 15 and the major supporting characters are 14, 17, and 19. That said, there's nothing in the way of content that's inappropriate for a younger reader. As always if you're not here to go on a fun little adventure find a different story. Trigger/Content: very mild language, some magic violence, fantasy violence. Self-harm is briefly discussed. Adoption issues are discussed as well as brief scenes of a abusive family. Characters briefly mention crushes and or dating, no real innuendos.
