Thomas needed a vacation, but that didn't mean he wanted one. His best friend convinced him to come down to his family's beach house for the summer to unwind, to relax for once. Thomas wasn't swayed easily, but he found himself on a flight to Florida regardless, albeit begrudgingly. Thomas intended to mope around for the three months, drink away his problems, and maybe get a tan in the process. However, his plans were thwarted when an unwanted houseguest from his past arrived the day after his getting there, leaving a bitter tang on the entire "vacation." Not to mention, Thomas was forced to share what he thought was his room with his best friend's wife's ridiculously handsome brother, Dallas. Thomas was on the cusp of drowning in the first week. Relaxation wasn't even on the agenda. He just had to try to keep his head above water.Complete

5 years ago, I lost my best friend. All because he confessed his feelings for me and I over thought things. I was left on my own only to realize too late that the feelings were mutual. And he certainly didn't care about Alexei Abbots or the other older and mysterious men Alexei was associated with. Alexei, in particular, though, was just a little weasel that wouldn't leave his mind. He thought he could block him out like every other person, like every other male that made him think in such a bad way. But somehow, for the first time, he couldn't force himself to forget the expression on the boy's face when his fist collided roughly with his jaw. ~ Alexei Abbots was happy. Really, really happy. He was open, free, and accepted by the two best women he had ever met, who completely turned his life around.
