Stefan (28) is a rescue worker in Mystic Falls hospital, he's been working there for a few months but nobody really knows anything about him or his family that he never talks about. Elena (25) is a young doctor, she just finished university in France, got her Doctor's degree and moved back to America with her 60 year old partner, but suddenly, her whole world crashed down...

...this story is slightly inspired by The Vampire Diaries, Elena always wanted to be a doctor and Stefan's doppelgänger Tom even was one. This is how it could have been if they were all humans.
