Voices. Moving shadows. Sounds. Hearing your name called. Parents. Saying what are you talking about? You must be sleepy. Sometimes a coincidence. Sometimes, though... not. Only the special ones can hand down the power. Seeing a whole other world. Some get it. Most don't. Most think it's a blessing. Until they realize what lies beyond their world. Zoe Ryker is the name and boy did I get myself into a heap of trouble. It just started as a walk in a near by wooded area. No big deal right? BOOK ONE: Having enough courage to run through the woods and away from the people who convinced me they were saving me was not how I believed I'd spend my day. It was more than just bad men and curiosity about the forest that got me to leave, it was a pull towards something; towards magic. Once I was in the forest turning back was never an option, so I put it in my head that I'd keep walking until I found a civilization or a nice paved road that would lead to safety. But that never happened because the forest has a force living through it. Believing that the forest held something strange was the easy part but experiencing it myself was something totally different. I didn't expect anything normal but I didn't expect to be completly engulfed into the forest. I was led by an unknown presence that made me truly believe it was a living being, and in fact it is. I was innocent then, but now I know that anything can be hidden under a small platform in the woods with a secret bigger than the world itself. She didn't have powers so was treated as an outcast, rejected by everyone including her own family. They shunned her and soon banished her from not just their home but the whole magical realm. Now she lives in the human world, going about her everyday life like an average person. She's left her previous life behind and that's just how she likes it. Unfortunately for her, you can't escape your past forever. No matter how much she protests, magic will always be a part of her life, hiding in the shadows, undetected but still there. With a burning feeling
For one to inhabit oddities that are truly beyond normalcy, the town has been surprisingly peaceful for many centuries. However, behind the tranquility that seemed to encase the place, there lie intense rules that are forever ingrained by all townsfolk within their hearts and mind. Though it is not the town itself that was odd; but the territory just next to them. Vast and eerie, full of creatures of the unknown, and home to a being so powerful who was feared by all and remembered even by the youngest of children there was. The forest is not to be disturbed. The rules were simple. No one is to be allowed to enter, even taking a daring mere inch of a step, in the forest. NO. ENTRY. This is what has been placed when people take sightings of the large and wide forest. A warning that implies extreme danger due to the number of signs there are in one area. For there is a creature that lies beyond the forest. So dangerous and so terrifying, it could scorch the world with its flames. It's not a dragon. It's not a beastly monster. Not even a giant or a devil. But a god. A sun god. And the sun god's abode was the forest. And he is there for a reason.Complete

A land of shadows, of mystery, of obfuscated Truth. Welcome to the Greylands, that strange world, within the bounds of Time, peopled by mortal men. We cannot see truly, only as through a glass, darkly. There are things that move and have their being completely beyond our ability to perceive them. There are things beyond our mortal ability to comprehend. There are hints and glimmers hidden within the body of revealed Truth, but there is much we do not know, cannot yet understand, and could never dare dream. These stories are mere fancy, with a seed of Truth at their core. They play with the ideas of mortality and Eternity, Time and things beyond it, and of course the epic battle of Good against Evil. Each stands alone, and though there are common themes, threads, names, and concepts, each story is an entity unto itself and should not be seen as occurring in the same world or mistaken for installments of a series. These are random musings, not Gospel Truth, and should not be taken as such. Joy, hope, and encouragement are hopefully a byproduct, but certainly not sound Theology. If you would know more of the true world beyond these Greylands, one must be a careful student of the Scriptures, not of silly stories such as these.
