Mature
This unexpected story is about Rachel Daniels. She's a shy, smart goody goody who has only ever had 1 friend in her entire life.

Her best friend, Christina, is an extreme wild child that is overly obsessed with skateboarding and constantly has scrapes on her knees.

Since they're polar opposites, you would think a timid girl who gets straight A's and a skater girl with no conscience would have nothing to do with each other, but they've been inseparable since grade school!

Their mission this school year is to try to get Rachel a date with her huge crush since the beginning of high school, Manny.

Although, as her story unravels, an unexpected turn of events happen that changes Rachel's life, for better or for worse.

But, don't get confused, this isn't at ALL a cliché story, this definitely isn't that type of book. But I guess you'll have to see for yourself...

His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
