Pets, a thing of the past. Animals aren't allowed to be kept as pets, the number of domesticated creatures plummeted and in a desperate need and want for some furry friends humans started to be abducted and kidnapped to undergo horrific tests to be changed into breeds of the once loved animals. People were given no consent, limbs were sawed, bones were bent and shaped, fur was chemically engineered to grow throughout ones body. Michael also known as "Wolf" (because of a patch he wears on his kit and helmet) is a member of what was the 75th Ranger Regiment. He finds himself a veteran of a war between humanity and anthros. While he doesn't exactly hate them he doesn't exactly trust them either despite their efforts to rebuild the relationship between species. Unfortunately a good chunk of humanity and anthro kind was wiped out due to the war. But due to the anthros ability to reproduce faster they were able to recover much faster leaving humanity at a loss. Michael finds himself alone and on the run from a one of the most dangerous anthro militaries (at least to humans), known as the Obsidian Front. They continue to hunt down and kill humans forces despite the end to the war, causing proxy wars and often large scale skirmishes between them and remaining human militias.

P R O L O U G E The Virus is a thing that haunts the mind of every human, for good or ill. It has been known to kill its host in just a few minutes and leave nothing but their corpse behind. It can also take a form similar to a dog, with sharp teeth and nails as long as fingers. It's almost impossible to detect it, unless you are looking for something specifically. A virus is like an infection; they change your body and make it more susceptible to disease. And it only seems to occur when one has a significant amount of blood loss and/or infection.
