The Kingdom of Gaius is by an arcane River.  Although people know it is there, very little know anything about it. This makes it the perfect hiding place for the Alek HQ, home to fraternal twins Aleksius and Aleksia. Luckily for you, before the story has even begun, you can discover what lurks beneath the water in this first short story by @B14Bookworm from the POV of Aleksia. 

If you've ever heard of the saying 'brains are better than brawn' I like to think me and my brother are living proof of that. Although I was born two and a half minutes later, my birthday is the day after his: January 1st. Please refrain from being confused:I was born at 0:01 1/1 whilst Aleksius was born at 23:59 31/12.
