The Kingdom of Gaius is by an arcane River. Although people know it is there, very little know anything about it. This makes it the perfect hiding place for the Alek HQ, home to fraternal twins Aleksius and Aleksia. Luckily for you, before the story has even begun, you can discover what lurks beneath the water in this first short story by @B14Bookworm from the POV of Aleksia.

They had everything planned out, for the most part, but when the ship they ran away on is overtaken by pirates, they impulsively joined the crew. The captain of the ship, known as the Masked Pirate for he wore a black mask that covered his whole face, seemed like a stoic man to the public, but the twins quickly see his love for his crew. The twins believe that they had found the perfect family, and the best life. Until a deadly curse is placed upon the captain, and the crew has to rush to find an island that holds a fountain that can wash away curses before it's too late. The problem is that the island moves, and they're being chased down by someone who wants the captain dead. Pairings will be prinxiety, logicality, and demus, if it's not your jam that's fine you don't need to read.
