I will do my job. I will leave no trace, I will not speak. I will feel no pity. And I will not be afraid.

She lunged forward at him, her sword at the ready, but he grabbed her arm effortlessly knocking her off her feet with one swift, fluent movement. Before she had time to fall onto the floor, he grabbed her by the waist and without a second thought, flung her across the room. She felt herself crash onto the ground, her air knocked out of her lungs as she rolled around like a ragdoll before smashing onto the wall. She felt herself flicker in and out of consciousness, blood rolling down her forehead. She had no time to think, let alone get herself up before she felt the man’s hands close around her neck as he pulled her up and smashed her onto the wall. When he spoke, his voice was cold and steady:
“Who payed you to kill me?” he asked, squeezing the life out of her slowly.
When Azalea is payed to kill Xander, everything goes wrong in the first second, and before she knows it, the mighty assassin finds herself locked in his house. Tied up, bloodied and bruised, she can do nothing but drift in and out of consciousness as she waits for her sentence. Boy or girl, her captor has decided that he’s going to treat her like he would do anyone trying to kill him, but she unlike any other of his captor won’t answer anything.

WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION There are imperfect moments in every life-but sometimes, there are perfect accidents . . . What's the point of pretending nothing has changed when everything has? It's the last summer before college, and Jonas Avery knows he should be excited. Instead, he hides out at home, avoiding his friends, his family, and everything that resembles his old life. Because nothing will be normal again-because of The Accident, when everything started falling apart. Brennan Davis knows she needs to stand up and face her anxiety-the deep, dark, debilitating dread that rules her everyday life. Because what stops her from going out into the world and just living is going to get a whole lot worse. She's leaving for college in the fall, where she'll be confronted with even more to worry about. To get back up sometimes you have to fall down, hard . . . When Jonas crashes into Brennan-in a harmless, albeit embarrassing fender bender-the two teens connect in ways they never expected. As friends, they help each other overcome their biggest falls and faults, and soon discover that while love can't fix everything, it's sometimes a place to start. Sensitive, wry, and unabashedly authentic, The Opposite of Falling Apart isn't about finding perfection in another person or fixing the things we think are broken. Instead, Micah Good has penned an enchantingly honest novel about accepting the very pieces of ourselves that make us unique, whole, and undeniably human.
