Anna shirley a fourteen year old orphan with her sister, anne shirley. they didn't have a wonderful childhood as both of their parents pass on when they were young.
they were both was adopted by mrs. thomas and her family. until anna was ten and anne was nine, mr. thomas was hit by a train and killed. they then started to live with the hammond family, they were both servents in the house. all they did was clean, take care of eight children, and etc.
it wasn't until then mr. hammond pass away, they were sent to an orphanage until the curthberts requested for two boys to be sent to them. a fateful mistake occurred and the shirley sisters was sent instead.
