When true feelings come out of a life-changing decision. Disclaimer: This is not meant to disrespect the friendship the real Katharine Graham and Ben Bradlee had, it is just inspired by the way Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks portray them in the Academy Award nominated film The Post. It is just what could have been. Imagine an AU where Ben did not marry Tony, basically. Also, I borrowed some lines from Liz Hannah's (and Josh Singer's) wonderful script for the acclaimed movie. Thank you to them and all the people who put together such an amazing movie in such short time, at the absolute perfect moment.

| Cate Blanchett x OC | It was the summer before her senior year of college. Elle wanted nothing more than to relax and enjoy herself for her final 3 months of freedom before she committed her next 40 years to the workforce. But then she met the most gorgeous woman she's ever laid eyes on, and her summer was drastically thrown off course. When it came to love, Elle was essentially a nervous wreck of inexperience. However, with the older woman, she felt safe, comfortable, and loved for the first time ever. The only problem was the tiny detail that the woman was married. Elle wasn't planning to break up a marriage to be with the woman of her dreams. It just sort of happened. A/N: I respect Cate and Andrew's marriage. This is a work of fiction.
