"We don't choose when and who we fall in love with, but we do choose whether or not we fight for it." Sage Cambridge had one thing on her mind, to graduate and get on the next plane up to New York City where Columbia awaits. The only thing standing in the way of her and New York City was her senior year. Six months before graduation, in order to get a full scholarship to Columbia, they asked Sage to write a personal column about doing something outside of her comfort zone. She decided it should be something completely and utterly high school, how to break a player's heart. Keaton Kingston was the basketball star of Townsend High School set to play college basketball at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was praised by everyone but he had a reputation, a bad one. He had an ego the size of Russia and was known for his charismatic smile to fool everyone who crossed paths with him. When Sage's older brother, Zane, stole the one girl Keaton ever loved, Lara, away from him, Keaton decided to get revenge. So who was the one person he could use to hurt Zane other than Lara? Sage. Two people with alternative motives come together for the ultimate game complete with betrayal, heartbreak, and lies. Who will win and who will lose and at what price will it come at?
