In July 1692 Sarah Goode and Elizabeth Howe were tried for witchcraft and hung in the summer that began the Salem witch trials. But what nobody knew was that Sarah and Elizabeth each had a daughter that survived in the town orphanage.

Now in 1995 Los Angeles, their distant granddaughters, Embry and Venus are also practicing witchcraft. But When they are discovered by an actor named Johnny Depp, he wants them to be in his next movie. But the more Johnny learns of their powers the more he puts the girls in danger!
