Daman sat watching as Aleksander stood in front of him. His shoulders tightened and his jaw clenched and Daman was questioning what he was seeing. His whole torso suddenly went completely taut; he stood frozen, rigid. Suddenly, the slightest sound like a tear of paper, so quiet it was barely audible and then there was a noise that sounded like feathers ruffling and moving together. Something black rose over Sander’s head and then unfolded out into two feet in width and the longest feathers -at least five feet-, the shortest -at two feet- closest to his back. His wings stood tall and wide and glistened in the light like a crows’ would. It was then that Daman knew he was in the presence of a Child of the Goddess.
In a world exactly like our own; Daman Scott lives peacefully, in his two story three bedroom house on Maple Street. He lives alone, because his parents died at a young age, the house he kept since there were no family members anywhere he could reach them –or wanted to, for that matter. The only difference between the one we live in and the one he lives in is that Angels -the Children of the Goddess-, and Demons -the children of the God- and Fairies, Goblins, Vampires, Werewolves, Mermaids, and other creatures of sort have always co-existed with their humanoid companions. The rules and laws are bent as a result of such, and on an Island the size of Australia in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, named Freja, is where these creatures’ homes are. Daman’s life changed drastically when he meets the new boy next door, Aleksander Kelian-Kay. He just doesn’t know if it’s for the better or for the worse. All Rights Reserved
