Era lives a life of all work and no play. Her mom died when she was little and her dad left her two years ago in the care of a self obsessed woman who would like nothing more than to get rid of her. She has two step sisters named Fiona and Blaire. They're dead set on making her life miserable which is the reason she hasn't had friends since grade eight. Finally, in grade twelve she gets a friend who seems as innocent as an angel. His name is Puriel, Riel for short. Things seem to be looking up for Era but then she meets another boy, Soul. Era's life gets flipped and it seems these two boys are the ones turning the pages.
