Set in the beautiful landscape of Ireland, six teenage faeries must venture off on an assignment planned by their mean head mistress at their training school school. This assignment soon turns out to not be what they thought it was. As they trek through the Fairwood Forest, the forest surrounding their hometown of Fairwood, they soon learn what it means to go through times of trial. As the six different faeries venture deeper into the forest, they have to go through times of death, worry, and sorrow. Not knowing what comes next, they have no choice but to push deeper. What they find at the end, though, might change their lives forever, and the lives of Fairwood Forest too.
Clover has to venture into a forest near her home town for a dare. The forest is said to be haunted and cursed and in the past there have been strange disappearances. Clover doesn't believe in all those stories - they're kids' tales, after all. But when she goes into the forest, she can't find her way out again - and soon she'll have to change her entire view of the world.
