Emerson had always thought that leprechauns didn't exist. They were just the stupid, wise tales that were told by her grandfather.

She knew about the buckle shoes and the solitary confinement; the fact that they were always male; their job as a cobbler; their pots of gold at the end of rainbows. She wasn't at all lacking in information about these magical creatures, since she knew it all. Yet there was something she didn't know. That one little detail was going to change her whole life. What she didn't know was that leprechauns were real.

They once said that if you ever come a cross a leprechaun, you must hold onto them tight. Leprechauns were tricksters and they had a tendency to slip away without any sound.

But when Emerson was forced to live with a Gambling Obsessed Leprechaun, many wishes were made. Gold was stolen, and lives were changed. With a leprechaun acting as a fairy godmother and a drunken sailor all at the same time how will Emerson hide the secret from her parents?
