Wherein Subject 008 has escaped Cody, Wyoming's Labs and has moved to Hawkins where her and her guardian - Marla Cauffman, a British journalist who had found the young girl in the forests of Cody - thought that the quiet milieu of the town would help save them from the nightmares that lurked outside their doors.

But, as a kid, Subject 008 never seemed to learn that it was dangerous for her to go out without Marla by her side, thinking that maybe pretending to be normal would put something in her mind to stop her from being her true self that she calls a monstrosity.

She meets friends that stick by her side, kids that save her.

Kids that save the world.
