Jacqueline Adams has begun life anew. She's an official S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, she's learned to accept her past and cope with her abilities, and she's found love. Yet now, she is continuously haunted by the recovered events of her childhood and her part in the battle of New York, as well as the one nightmare that never leaves her subconscious. The one thing that she can't tell those close to her, especially the one she loves, for their own sake. Jacqueline must take things into her own hands in order to protect herself and those around her. And when a threat that was thought to be long gone captures S.H.I.E.L.D's attention, the risks and consequences may be more devastating than anyone would ever anticipate.
